What I Wore Wednesday! Bubble necklace

I love my turquoise bubble necklace. I loved my green one too until it broke. The other day I decided to order a pink one, via eBay. 

I didn't realize it was the mini bubbles, and before I didn't like the idea of mini. But now I have one I really like it!

My work has some clients on house (very rare occasion) today so I decided to keep it neutral and add my bubbles. 

On a side note, today is my last day of work until next Wednesday! Making the trip over the big pond tomorrow. Ready to do a follow up post on that and our new kitchen!

H is for Henry

When Matt and I redid our master, I hung our initials over our bed. I got them at Michaels and painted them using a sample size of valspar paint from Lowes. (Definitely recommend for small paint projects!)

So I went back to Michaels and got an H (smaller then our letters), painted it with - gold-like color I already had (the previous sellers left a ton of stuff!) and hung it over Henry's bed in our room. 

I think he likes it ;) it adds another personal touch to our bedroom.

What I Wore Wednesday-travel edition and recent purchases

On Friday I was traveling from a warm to a cooler climate and I had a layover so me comfort and layers were key. I also had a black cardigan I threw on when I got chilly on the plane. The sandals were great for going through security-easy to take on and off. 

 

Tee, earrings and sandals are target, black cardi was the black Jackie cardigan from jcrew. Scarf is old navy, jeans are American eagle. 

For purchases, I got this top at Maurice's back home. Whenever I'm home I stop In to see as we don't have one here. I love the color and sequins!

I also got the mini tote from the Phillip Lim for Target collection. I want the large tote now! I love it.

Weekend Recap

So this past weekend, Matt and I went home to NC to meet my new nephew and for his baptism. We are the Godparents so we were very excited. 

Saturday I hung out with my nephews and went out for Mexican for family dinner.  Then we went to the airport and got Matt. 

I was very happy when he got here :)

After we went back to my parents house-which is amazing by the way-and hung out with family. 

Sunday was the Baptism then reception following at a local Italian restaurant. 

We had a great weekend but missed our Shirley and Henry very much and was eager to get back. 

We had a great weekend with nephews and family and hope you all had a great weekend too :)

Traveling Must Haves

I travel a lot. I used to travel more when Matt and I were long distance (we didn't live together until we got married!) but now I travel more to visit family and friends back home and somewhat for work. And of course Ireland later this month :)

I have a few 'must haves' when I fly. 

Starbucks. Usually it's a chai frapp but this Starbucks was out of chai (what!) so a mocha light will do. Always with soy milk. 

Lip gloss/chap stick. My lips always tend to get dry! This is my favorite. The shade is "pink satin". It has SPF too!

My iPad, a juicy novel, and magazines. Self explanatory. 

Others include: iPhone, iPod touch, apple charger, headphones, flip flops for security, and a hair tie.

What I Wore-Pinterest Inspired

Hope everyone is having a great week! I'm getting ready for my trip tomorrow :) very excited. 

I saw this pin on Pinterest and I loved her outfit. Especially the lace top. Then I realized I had similar pieces and this is what I wore. I may or may not have added a white lace tee to my list ;)

9/11. Never forget.

Delaying my What I Wore Wednesday post to pay tribute to all those lost on 9/11. Coming from a military family it hits closer. RIP to all lost and thank you to those who fight for freedom everyday.

Welcome to the world Dominic James!

My nephew made his appearance today! My sister and brother in law had my new nephew Dominic James at 2:29 this morning. 7 p 10 oz. I can't wait to meet this cutie on Friday! It's going to be a long week. Both of my nephews were born on the 8th of their month.

My The Limited Purchases

So I normally don't shop at The Limited. I think I have one formal dress and a skirt to be exact. We don't have one near us (closest is an hour away) but I got an email about a sale so I checked it out. 

I wanted a colored peplum top so I knew this was mine when I saw it. 

I also saw this crisscross back top. I love the colors and unique print. 

I got both in an XS and I would say they run to true size or maybe even a little big.

I was very happy with my purchases! Shipping was slow (about 8 days) but I love the quality and fit of what I got. And for $15 each I really can't complain :)

What I wore Wedneday!

Hope everyone had a great week and Labor Day weekend! Matt and I both worked all weekend (boo) and our new appliances came Monday! Our Reno starts Monday :)

Henry got a squirrel.

The title says it all. We let Henry out to do his routine business and he came back with a squirrel. He ate the whole thing. In basically two chomps. 

After snapping a photo I called the emergency vet who said to leave him alone and if he acts funny/won't eat, etc etc bring him in. All is fine thank goodness.
