Ireland Trip!

I went to Ireland for 4 days and had an amazing time. Yes it was short but I definitely feel like I saw and did so much.  

I went to go see my penpal and and one of my best friends Lyndsey. We 'met' in 3rd grade via penpal exchange for school. At the time she lived in England and I went to see her on my France/England/Switzerland trip when I was 14. She was also in my wedding and had come to see me so much so it was my turn. Any chance to go to Ireland sounds good to me :)

On this trip we went horseback riding (bucket list item checked off!), we saw the Ring of Kerry, Valentia island (and did the ferry), saw many state parks, plus enjoyed seeing her town, her workplace, etc. 

I had 0 appetite which makes me sad as I didn't enjoy any Irish food except for soup basically. Not sure if it was the time change or what but I had none. 

I had a great trip. I flew JetBlue and Aer Lingus and both were excellent. 

I enjoyed driving around looking at everything and all the articutectural details on the houses. 

I had a great time but I am glad to be home! 

What I Wore Wednesday-travel edition and recent purchases

On Friday I was traveling from a warm to a cooler climate and I had a layover so me comfort and layers were key. I also had a black cardigan I threw on when I got chilly on the plane. The sandals were great for going through security-easy to take on and off. 

 

Tee, earrings and sandals are target, black cardi was the black Jackie cardigan from jcrew. Scarf is old navy, jeans are American eagle. 

For purchases, I got this top at Maurice's back home. Whenever I'm home I stop In to see as we don't have one here. I love the color and sequins!

I also got the mini tote from the Phillip Lim for Target collection. I want the large tote now! I love it. 

Hope everyone has a great day. Our kitchen Reno is coming along and I can't wait to post about it :) I'm also ready to have a kitchen again ;)

Weekend Recap

So this past weekend, Matt and I went home to NC to meet my new nephew and for his baptism. We are the Godparents so we were very excited. 

Saturday I hung out with my nephews and went out for Mexican for family dinner.  Then we went to the airport and got Matt. 

I was very happy when he got here :)

After we went back to my parents house-which is amazing by the way-and hung out with family. 

Sunday was the Baptism then reception following at a local Italian restaurant. 

We had a great weekend but missed our Shirley and Henry very much and was eager to get back. 

We had a great weekend with nephews and family and hope you all had a great weekend too :)

Ireland Outfits

With my Ireland trip a little over a month away (yay!) I am starting to get outfit ideas together. Trying to wear layers and also preparing for the weather! When I was in England I learned quickly seasons can change ;)

Friday Randoms

I feel like I started to talk about our big kitchen Reno and then stopped talking about it. I'm sorry. It has been pushed due to several issues but now the new target date is September 2. 

For now, here is a photo of the granite slab we choose. I love it. It is exactly what I wanted. 

I am very excited as today is 2 months until I go to Ireland. I am excited and nervous at the same time. 

It's been a long week and I'm glad to Friday. I plan on finishing our master bedroom this weekend and plan on posting!

Bermuda here we come!

I am excited! We got a call from my Inlaws on Sunday night and they told us they are taking the family on a cruise to Bermuda in summer 2014! Matt has family in Bermuda and my Inlaws go a lot so I am excited to meet some more of Matt's family and see a new place!

This will be my 4th cruise, Matt's 3rd and our 3rd together. Our honeymoon was a cruise to the southern Caribbean. I love cruises!

Pink sand beaches here I come! I can't wait.
